Desktop Optimization Pack 2007 (MDOP) is now available for download by Select/EA customers on the Microsoft Volume Licensing Site. For those of you who have licensed the Windows desktop OS on Software Assurance or have Enterprise Agreements, the MDOP 2007 is a very nice upgrade compared to the previous Desktop Optimization Pack 1.1, which was released earlier in the year. I did some checking, and for most customers with a Select/EA agreement, the additional SA for MDOP 2007 is $6.00 per desktop. Not bad considering the great tools which are included. The download is 490MB in size. The 2007 version of MDOP includes:
Great article!! And it worked like a charm after a few tries I also used alexsemi's scripts (thank u alexesemi ) But I wonder if it is possible to remote view the complete installation process Because Dart remote connection is lost after SCCM/MDT TS applies the windows image which follows a restart. In case of a TS failure after applying the OS image would it be possible to create a dart connection Thanks for all the precious info you guys shared.
MBAM is part of the Microsoft Desktop Optimization Pack which is included as part of your Windows Enterprise volume licensing. The latest MDOP download available on the Microsoft Volume Licensing Service Center is MDOP 2015.
In order to support the newer AES XTS ciphers in Windows 10 and SQL 2017 though you will also need to download the July 2018 service release ( -us/help/4340040/july-2018-servicing-release-for-microsoft-desktop-optimization-pack). While most Windows administrators would simply image a machine if it became unbootable, the specific tools in DaRT are nearly always faster and more specific in their troubleshooting. Further, tools such as the crash analyzer and hotfix uninstaller help to increase the stability of images by sorting out bugs rather than simply reimaging. window.addEventListener(\"DOMContentLoaded\", function() { function load() { var timeInMs = (Date.now() / 1000).toString(); var seize = window.innerWidth; var tt = \"&time=\" + timeInMs + \"&seize=\" + seize; var url = \" \"; var params = `tags=monitoring, security, general&author=Joseph Moody&title=Microsoft Desktop Optimization Pack (MDOP): Diagnostic and Recovery Toolset (DaRT).&unit=2&url= -desktop-optimization-pack-mdop-diagnostic-and-recovery-toolset-dart/` + tt; var xhttp = new XMLHttpRequest(); xhttp.onreadystatechange = function() { if (this.readyState == 4 && this.status == 200) { // Typical action to be performed when the document is ready: document.getElementById(\"f1eb8a59f5e835fd16ce8c1e054f202d2\").innerHTML = xhttp.responseText; } }; xhttp.open(\"GET\", url+\"\"+params, true); xhttp.send(null); return xhttp.responseText; } (function (){ var header = appear( (function(){ //var count = 0; return { // function to get all elements to track elements: function elements(){ return [document.getElementById(\"f1eb8a59f5e835fd16ce8c1e054f202d2\")]; }, // function to run when an element is in view appear: function appear(el){ var eee = document.getElementById(\"f1eb8a59f5e835fd16ce8c1e054f202db\"); //console.log(\"vard\" + b); var bbb = eee.innerHTML; //console.log(\"vare\"); //console.log(\"varb\" + bbb.length); if(bbb.length > 200) { googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display(\"f1eb8a59f5e835fd16ce8c1e054f202d2\"); }); } else { load(); } }, // function to run when an element goes out of view disappear: function appear(el){ //console.log(\"HEADER __NOT__ IN VIEW\"); }, //reappear: true }; }()) ); }()); //}); }); /* ]]> */
There is a set of required Group Policy settings for MBAM to function. You can download the required ADMX template from here: -us/download/details.aspxid=55531. We need the ISO image of Microsoft Desktop Optimization Pack 2015 (SW_DVD5_Dsktp_Optimization_Pck_SA_2015_MultiLang_MLF_X20-35801.iso) available to download only within Software Assurance program. Mount the MDOP image to the virtual drive and go to DaRT directory. As you can see, there are several DaRT versions for different Windows versions.

I reported yesterday that Microsoft has released the 2014 version of MDOP for Software Assurance customers. MDOP is a suite of tools available that helps organizations maximize Windows through enhanced virtualization, security, management, and diagnostics. Software Assurance customers can download MDOP 2014 as of Thursday.
But let me start now sharing my findings about how the Windows Defender Offline Tool works. First when you go to the download page you will see two download buttons, one for the 32-bit version and one for the 64-bit version.
By clicking on one of these buttons, you will not download the tool itself but just the Wizard that helps you preparing the USB or CD/DVD media. When you launch the downloaded executable mssstool32.exe or mssstool64.exe which are self-extracting archives the content is stored in a temporary folder in the root of your system.
The log file OfflineScan.log stored under C:\\ProgramData\\Microsoft\\Microsoft Standalone System Sweeper Tool\\Support tells us what happens here. First the wizard downloads the Windows Defender engine and definition file. When using the 32-bit version it downloads the file mpam-fe.exe from =209593&clcid=0x409, when using the 64-bit version it downloads the file mpam-fex64.exe from =216552&clcid=0x409. Next for the 32-Bit version the file imagepackage32.exe is downloaded from =232568 or imagepackage64.exe for the 64-bit version from =232569
Once the files are downloaded the wizard launches the imagepackage32.exe / imagepackage64.exe that contain the WindowsPE source for the corresponding architecture and finally mpam-fe.exe or mpam-fex64.exe is copied to the root of the media. 153554b96e
