The \"T and O\" shape does not imply that its creators believed in a flat Earth. The spherical shape of the Earth was already known to the ancient Greeks and Romans and the idea was never entirely forgotten even in the Middle Ages, and thus the circular representation may well be considered a conventional attempt at a projection: in spite of the acceptance of a spherical Earth, only the known parts of the Northern Hemisphere were believed to be inhabitable by human beings (see antipodes), so that the circular representation remained adequate. The long river on the far right is the River Nile (12), and the T shape is established by the Mediterranean Sea (19-21-25) and the rivers Don (13) and Nile (16).
Welcome to Herefordshire Home Point the choice based lettings scheme set up in partnership between Herefordshire Council and the main housing associations who have properties available to let across Herefordshire. The aim is to give you more choice in deciding where you want to live.
Home Point provides a one-stop solution for people seeking housing and manages Herefordshire Councils Housing Register, also known as the housing waiting list. The scheme advertises the majority of social/affordable housing for rent that is managed by the main housing associations operating across the county.
This website can be used to make an application for housing (click here to see an easy guide on how to apply), seek advice on your options and search or bid for properties that are available to rent.

Your lease may have a legal right for it to be extended. The most common legal right relevant to the long leases of houses owned by the Trust is the right to a 50-year extension under the Leasehold Reform Act 1967. Your lease may qualify under this legislation or may already have been extended under this legislation. So you should always check with your own legal advisor as to whether or not your long lease has a legal right to be extended.

We work in close partnership with public and private sector housing providers to supply affordable homes that are needed in communities across the UK and housing asset management to maintain them.
We are the largest provider of emergency and temporary accommodation in the UK, providing vital housing for homeless communities and we specialise in more innovative forms of housing supply and building management.
The number of homeless households across the UK continues to grow. Until we have a longer term solution to the housing crisis, we recognise that Local Authorities and individuals need access to good quality, safe and affordable temporary accommodation and public housing programs.
We can work with you to assess the land you have available, your future plans, budgets and current housing stock to devise new leasing schemes that will deliver value for money while enabling you to effectively discharge your statutory housing duty.
As an affordable housing management company, through our landlord business and our two not-for-profit, wholly owned registered providers, Plexus and Omega Housing, we supply essential social housing at affordable rents in communities across the UK.
We work with local authorities, private landlords, investors and tenants to develop an understanding of local communities where we can deliver affordable housing property management services such as tenancy, property and lease agreement services.
We work with investors to provide affordable housing asset management services to purchase stock where we can secure long leases at affordable rents and we can utilise Local Authority funding in addition to leveraging private institutional funding. We also assist and support developers on section 106 agreements.
Our supportive housing management services model allows us to fund, build, manage, maintain and provide care, in high quality developments designed to enable individuals to live independently in their own homes.
Herefordshire is the second worst area within the West Midlands region for housing affordability, where house prices at the lower end of the housing market are 8.6 times higher than lower quartile annual earnings. Provision of subsidised housing is therefore a priority for Herefordshire that needs to be addressed through partnership working between Herefordshire Council and Registered Providers.
Herefordshire is consistently one of the worst areas of the West Midlands for housing affordability. The preferred measure for house price affordability is the ratio of lower quartile house price to lower quartile earnings. For 2020 the ratio for Herefordshire was 8.8, that is, for those on lower quartile earnings, a house at the bottom end of the market would cost them 8.6 times their annual earnings. This is the second worst affordability level within the West Midlands region (unitaries, counties and metropolitan boroughs).
The latest Housing Market Area Needs Assessment demonstrated that there is a notable need for affordable housing and it is clear that the provision of new affordable housing is an important and pressing issue in Herefordshire and confirms that affordable delivery should be maximised where opportunities arise.
