Victim: Destiny Weaver, B/F, 05/08/1992 Discovered: 06-02-2017, 0746 hours at 75th and Holmes, Tower Park On June 2, 2017 Destiny Weaver was found deceased inside her vehicle in the parking lot of Tower Park. If you have information please contact Det. Wayne Fitzner (816)234-5331
On 06-09-2017, officers responded to 115 NW Harlem Rd #273 where they found victim deceased from a gunshot wound to the head. The witness, mother of the victim, stated someone entered her apartment, attempted to rob her when her daughter, who was sleeping on the floor, stood up and was shot by a black male suspect. The suspect ran from the apartment, entered a vehicle and left the parking lot. Anyone with information in regard to this homicide please contact Det. Heather Leslie @ (816) 234-5213.
On 07-08-2017 at 0127 hours Officers of the Kansas City Missouri Police Department were dispatched to 9916 Holmes (Soul Lounge) in regard to a disturbance. The victim later arrived at a local hospital where he died from a gunshot wound he sustained during the disturbance in the parking lot of 9916 Holmes. Det. On 7-10-2017 at approximately 0055 hours Officers responded to 4351 Blue parkway in regard to a shooting. A vehicle traveling eastbound wrecked into the steps in front of the Burger King. Upon arrival the officers observed the victim, Thomas Jones, to have been shot. Bullet holes were located on the passenger side of the vehicle. Det. On 7/20/17 at approximately 1735 hours, members of the Kansas City Missouri Police Department were dispatched to 28th and Walrond in regard to a shooting. Upon arrival a b/m was observed inside a vehicle parked on the southwest corner of 28th and Walrond . The male had apparent life threatening gunshot wounds. EMS transported the victim to an area hospital but was pronounced deceased at 1821 hours. Anyone with any information about this homicide is urged to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS, or Det. J. On 8/14/2018 at approximately 2353 hours officers were dispatched to 3543 Prospect in regard to a Shotspotter call. The call was later updated to a shooting. Upon officer arrival they located the victim in the northbound lanes of traffic. EMS responded and declared the victim deceased.
Officers were dispatched on a Shotspotter shots fired car at 0352 hours. Upon arrival they located an adult male and female shooting victim inside of a Silver Fiat vehicle, parked on the street in front of 3808 Park. Numerous casings were observed outside of the vehicle. A black Jeep Wrangler style vehicle was observed leaving the scene after the shooting.
On 03-13-15 at 1843 hours, Officers were dispatched to 38th/ Kensington on a reported shooting. Upon arrival, the victim was discovered lying in the park suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital where life-saving measures were unsuccessful.
On 12/28/14 at approximately 0250 hours, Officers of the Kansas City, Missouri Police Department were called to a parking structure in the Power and Light District where they discovered the victim deceased from an apparent gunshot wound in the passenger seat of a black pickup truck. The suspect(s) fled in a dark colored SUV.
On January 10th at approximately 10:15pm, officers were dispatched to 2433 Brighton in regard to a shooting. Upon arrival officers found Cathy Henderson on the ground in front of the address suffering from gunshot wounds. Cathy died from her injuries at the scene. Witnesses said that Cathy and a friend were sitting in a vehicle that was parked in front of 2433 Brighton when they were shot by suspects who drove by their location in an unknown type vehicle.
On 06/24/2013 at approximately 9:18 pm, Carlton Lewis was discovered deceased from apparent gunshot wounds in the parking lot of the Sycamore Groves Apartments (1711 Kansas Avenue). On 02/14/2012 at 2222 hours, KCMO PD Officers responded to the Blue Valley Market at 4300 Cleveland Ave in regard to the sound of gunfire. Upon arrival, Officers discovered the victim deceased from apparent gunshot wounds at the south end of the parking lot. The persons pictured inside the store are subjects of interest.
Occurred: 3/19/2012, 4 p.m., Budd Park Esplanade and Denver Avenue The victim arrived in the red vehicle, pictured above. He got into some type of argument with two occupants of a black sport utility vehicle. One of the suspects shot the victim, who ran into the park and collapsed. The black vehicle left the scene southbound on Denver Avenue.
On 4/8/2012 (Easter Sunday), at 0148 hours, officers were dispatched on a shooting at 4001 Mill St. Officers responded and discovered the victim lying in the Sun Fresh Market parking lot suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital, but was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
On Saturday 9-22-2012 at about 3:24 in the afternoon, this truck arrived at the parking lot of Research Medical Center, Brookside Campus, 6601 Rockhill Rd. Officers responded and found that the victim, Maurice Landis was a passenger in the truck. He was pronounced dead from a gunshot wound. Another witness was contacted who was with the victim when the shooting occurred. The witness stated she planned to meet the victim to buy some marijuana. She borrowed a tan SUV from her friend and she drove to the cul de sac and waited for the victim. When the victim arrived, he parked in front of the SUV and got into the passenger side of the SUV.
At 12:36 a.m. April 30, 2020, officers were dispatched to 8322 Hillcrest on a reported sound of shots. Upon arrival, they located the victim in the parking lot of the apartment complex. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. The following regulations on permitted and required accessory off-street parking spaces and accessory bicycle parking spaces are adopted in order to provide needed space off the streets for parking in connection with new residences, to reduce traffic congestion resulting from the use of streets as places for storage of automobiles, to protect the residential character of neighborhoods, to provide for a higher standard of residential development within the City and thus to promote and protect public health, safety and general welfare.
Except as otherwise provided in this Section, the regulations of this Chapter on permitted or required accessory off-street parking spaces and accessory bicycle parking spaces apply to residences, community facility uses or commercial uses, as set forth in the provisions of the various Sections.
Special regulations governing accessory off-street parking and loading in the Manhattan Core are set forth in Article I, Chapter 3, and special regulations governing accessory off-street parking in the Long Island City area, as defined in Section 16-02 (Definitions), are set forth in Article I, Chapter 6.
On any zoning lot containing residences in R6A, R6B, R7A, R7B, R7D, R7X, R8A, R8B, R8X, R9A, R9X, R10A or R10X Districts or their commercial equivalents, and on any zoning lot in other districts containing a Quality Housing building, all accessory off-street parking spaces shall comply with the provisions of Section 28-40 (PARKING FOR QUALITY HOUSING).
In Community District 14 in the Borough of Queens, R6 and R7 Districts shall be subject to the accessory off-street parking regulations of an R5 District, except that such requirement shall not apply to any development located within an urban renewal area established prior to August 14, 2008, or to income-restricted housing units as defined in Section 12-10 (DEFINITIONS).
For the purposes of this Section, the floor area of a building shall not include floor space used for accessory off-street parking spaces provided on any story located below 33 feet above the base plane.
In addition, where the uses listed in paragraphs (a)(1) and (a)(2) of this Section result from a change of use, the provisions of Section 25-31 (General Provisions) shall be modified to require accessory off-street parking spaces for such uses. However, the requirements of Sections 25-31 and 25-624 may be modified for zoning lots containing buildings with such changes of use where the Chairperson of the City Planning Commission certifies to the Commissioner of Buildings that such modifications are necessary due to the location of existing buildings on the zoning lot, and such requirements have been complied with to the maximum extent feasible.
In all districts, as indicated, accessory off-street parking spaces may be provided for residences, for permitted community facility uses, for commercial uses permitted as accessory uses in large-scale residential developments, or for uses permitted by special permit, subject to the provisions set forth in the following Sections: 59ce067264
