Now, for those of you drooling over the previews, you're probably wondering how...in the world, the filmmakers pulled this sequence off. We'll start off near the beginning of The Wolf of Wall Street, when the Lion of Wall Street, played by DiCaprio, and he's driving in the top-end Maserati in the latest Jaguar convertible. This is a very expensive car, probably worth around $190,000.
When we were still kids, we used to make believe that babies would come to us in a strange, yet caring way. The wolf of wall street movies are the ultimate in this sort of fantasy. They are, however, a bit more realistic than nursery rhymes. After all, the very notion of a baby coming to us in a strange but caring way is pretty strange to begin with. Then, there's the part of coming to us in a strange but caring way. In that part of the fantasy, the baby must appear to us as a stranger, yet he is really a dear friend. He knows that we really love him. He has total confidence that we'll take good care of him, even if he inevitably will end up in the back of a police car.
When I was a kid, I remember seeing a movie that starred the late great Christopher Walken. It was called Conversations With..., and he was in it. The movie was basically Walken interviewing famous people, like the late 20th Century idol, Marlon Brando. It was creative, fun, and entertaining. Just about every scene was pretty good. One in particular, where he was interviewing Brando brought a few minutes of laughter and a few minutes of eye rolling. He asked Brando if he ever visited a porno movie theater. Brando responded that he had taken his date to one once or twice, in the late 1970s or early 1980s, and she didn't appreciate it. Brando went on to say that he had never seen one, because it's a place you don't go to if your intentions are pure. (Of course, most of the time when you ask someone like Christopher Walken if they've ever been to a porno theater you get a quick response, and...) Here's my two cents worth for The Wolf of Wall Street Values class.... 7211a4ac4a
