The Cessna Citation X is an American business jet produced by Cessna that made its maiden flight in 1993. The Citation X was the first aircraft from Cessna to use a Rolls-Royce engine and fully integrated avionics.
Honestly it would likely be best to wait for a dedicated team to make an aircraft like that if you are looking for full immersion. The X-plane team is pretty busy with improving the sim itself, so they might not add more aircraft until later on, once the sim is stable.
Same! I wish I could prepurchase it right this second and get access to xp11 while I wait. MSFS202 feels like trash to me as im currently training in a c172 IRL and it doesnt feel like it flies right at all! the C172 in the demo of xplane11 feels about right!
The entire process should be super similar, albeit with some new features that 3rd parties will need to integrate. Check out this post. //developer.x-plane.com/article/checklist-for-updating-aircraft-for-x-plane-12/
I have been waiting to buy Xplane 12 for months, have not purchased Xplane11 because I just have been waiting for the 12.I think we would appreciate it if you could give us estimated timeline on when this will be released..
Looks amazing, love the progress.. One of my highest expectations to see if is included is how good the weather is. If the planes will have the option to include wind data per waypoint, real time metar retrieval for area etc. Also have even more expectation to see if the downwash or flare/float effect for larger plane have been improved and how well that will work. But most of all I am dying to know if Vulkan device loss error now have been curshed. Since that bug I bet is assumed one of LR largest headaches.
Now that you successfully support Khronoss Vulkan since 11, what about native OpenXR for VR (native OpenXR for Windows MR is much faster and more responsive with native Open XR, than over Steam) for X-Plane12Though I understand, that there is not only Windows (especially not for this simulator ;-)), it would be great if you could take this in consideration.
I had a look at the 49 inch ultrawide a few days ago in a PC supplier store. The experience was by being in the right place at the right time. Was not impressed. It provided a very narrow \"slit\" view for the \"shoot-em-up\" game it was showing. With X-plane you need good visual not only for out of cockpit view but also to see the cockpit instruments If you go the way of the ultrawide 49 screen you will be using the mouse scroll button more than flying the aircraft just to view the instruments. A pain in the backside. The cockpit view will be extremely distorted on the sides as you will only have a front-on view out of the cockpit. Any pleasure of flight simulation ie flying the aircraft, will be lost. From my visual experience with the 49 ultrawide and having a mental visualisation with X-Plane you will have a reduced visual experience.
Here in Australia what you will pay for the single 49 ultrawide monitor will be more than what you would pay for 3-27 inch monitors which will allow you to configure within x-plane a more natural cockpit (see the Michael Brown videos referenced below) or what you will pay for 3-40 or 43 inch FHD television screens as demonstrated in the Russ Barlow video found at =a7LfXqpi-I8 or =PjdgOBJ5xkQ The full Russ Barlow YouTube videos are referenced below.

Over the years it has always been the policy of Laminar Research to continually improve X-Plane, providing the most realistic flight simulation available, with flight modeling so accurate that it has been adopted by numerous commercial aviation organizations. X-Plane 11.32 continues this evolution by incorporating the newest technology available in computing and graphics processing, resulting in breathtaking visual and dynamic effects. These are just some of the major features included in the update to X-Plane 11.32.NOAA Mirroring is fixed. I've wanted one of these for so so long as the RAAF use them to train out of East Sale in Victoria. I was just stunned at the quality of ths model and how beautifully it flies, even for a poor weekend warrior pilot like me. Thank you for this, it's just a brilliant piece of work, especially so that you chose to make it freeware.
As far as I know x-plane does not handle 3D HUD very well. That was a short cut an compromise. The rear seater was an option to keep it light. And an experience user can add other pilot in Plane Maker. About the trim, you need to disable auto trim on the left console.
Advanced trainers are the best for X-plane in my opinion. This one is quite nice. I have two problems or this would get five stars. The mirrors show the last air field not the flight in progress, and the readability of the HUD is not the best for me. Maybe its my settings. P{lease inform RML
Xplane after years of development and if you are willing to spend hundreds of pounds improving it has nothing to worry about on this just released game that blows it out of the water in many ways already as a vanilla product
The default planes are supported just like in X-Plane 11. Just install REP as described in the manual and you can enjoy the new improved flight dynamics and 3D models Laminar provided with X-Plane 12.
X-Plane 12 is still beta and we do not exclude further updates of v4.7. We continue our work on REP for more X-Plane 12 planes (mostly default planes, as they look gorgeus!) and on REP for MSFS which has been on hold for too long now!
Because X-Plane predicts the performance and handling of almost any aircraft, it is a great tool for pilots to keep up their currency in a simulator that flies like the real plane, for engineers to predict how a new airplane will fly, and for aviation enthusiasts to explore the world of aircraft flight dynamics.
One excellent feature of X-Plane is its ability to have other computers join as dedicated renders for viewpoints that can be customized by the user, each with its own eyepoint, meaning you could run a full surround setup without suffering from fisheye problems.
\"Far from a boring manual, the Power User Guide is chock full of interactive features, samples, tutorials, videos and vignettes that explore the whole range of QuickPlan's awesome capabilities. Informative and entertaining, this is a must have for any QuickPlan user.\" - Author Will Kotheimer
The absolute worst thing about x-plane 10, in my opinion, were the cockpit view limitations. In many aircraft, you just couldn't get the cockpit view that would allow you to see well enough over the panel to fly the darned thing. I finally just gave up after several hundred hours in sims. It seems to me that all the programmers would have to do is to write code that hides the seat polygons, or even leave the top of the seat out altogether.HAS THIS ISSUE BEEN ADDRESSED I would certainly hope so.By the way, if you are wondering, I am not a novice to aviation, either in actual aircraft or flt sims. I was an army, Vietnam, helicopter pilot in both gunships and slicks and then an instructor pilot when I returned to Fort Wolters, Texas. I'm commercially rated in rotary wing and have private privileges in single engine, fixed wing, land. My flight time is in the thousands of hours. So, I'm sure that if this is troublesome for me, there are a lot of other people who have the same complaint.
I totally agree with croc2 comment the cockpit views are limited and teye should remove the seat since it blocks your outside view in the 3D cockpit in the zoom in i hope rthis was address in Xplane 11
Hi guys! I downloaded the demo with no problems. I am running it on a windows 7 system with 8 gigs of ram.The graphics are unbelievable compared to FSX. I flew the default Cessna in a thunderstorm and when thelightning cracked and the thunder rolled, I almost jumped out of my skin. Great job guys However, I am stillthinking about purchasing it. The reason being, is that I have a ton of FSX planes in my hanger. I know eventually there will be a better selection of aircraft for X-Plane. I will let everyone know if and when I dopurchase it.
I map NUMPAD5 to my normal out the window view, and a second view on NUMPAD 8 that is a little higher and a little further forward (like I were sitting up very straight and leaning forward a bit to see over the glareshield/nose of the plane. 7 is forward and left, 9 is forward and right and up a bit, 6 is Co-Pilot's seat, 4 is Autopilot controls, 1 is throttle controls, 2 is Big Six (for IMC conditions), 3 is Light Controls. 153554b96e
